(11/21/2009) Based on best-selling novelist Nicholas Sparks' ("A Walk to Remember," "The Notebook") latest novel, THE LAST SONG is set in a small Southern beach town where an estranged father gets a chance to spend the summer with his reluctant teenaged daughter, who'd rather be home in New York. He tries to reconnect with her through the only thing they have in common-music-in a story of family, friendship, secrets and salvation, along with first loves and second chances. (11/21/2009) The new musical THE ADDAMS FAMILY, based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, is making its pre-Broadway world premiere in Chicago. Preview performances in Chicago began, Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph St.) and will play through Sunday, January 10, 2010. THE ADDAMS FAMILY will open on Broadway Thursday, April 8, 2010 at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

In Jean-Paul Sartre's existentialist masterpiece, 'No Exit', three damned souls collide in hell, expecting to be subjected to torture for their mortal sins, only to be left at the mercy of one another. Sartre's philosophical journey into the human psyche will be staged as a 'live movie' in a hybrid film and theatre performance presented by Nightwood Theatre from November 11-21 at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. (11/21/2009) Set amidst a Kafkaesque police state, THE PILLOWMAN opens in a stark interrogation room, where the adult Katurian - a slaughterhouse worker beginning to find recognition as a writer of gruesome fairy tales - sits blindfolded, his brother Michal in the adjoining room. Their interrogators, the outrageously profane good-cop-bad-cop duo of Tupolski and Ariel, suspect that Katurian's stories may not be entirely fiction.
