Steve Carell is making his Broadway debut in Anton Chekhov’s UNCLE VANYA, in a new version by Heidi Schreck and directed by Lila Neugebauer. The production opens today, April 24 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

Steve Carell
Steve Carell, best known for starring as Michael Scott, is making his Broadway debut in Uncle Vanya, coming to the theatrical stage for the first time!
Carell plays the title role of Vanya in the play that began previews on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, and will open on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

Amy Ryan
Amy Ryan played the role of Holly Flax on The Office, but she has several theatrical credits to her name.
Ryan made her Broadway debut in 1993 as a replacement in the original production of Wendy Wasserstein's The Sisters Rosensweig. She went on to receive two Tony Award nominations for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her performances as Sonya Alexandrovna in Uncle Vanya (2000) and Stella Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire (2005). Ryan returned to Broadway in 2024, and is currently starring in a revival of Doubt: A Parable.

Catherine Tate
In 2011, Catherine Tate began a recurring role as Nellie Bertram in The Office, and was a regular until the series ended.
While she may be best known for her roles on screen, Tate also has several stage credits to her name, mostly in the West End and other UK theatres. Most recently she appeared in The Enfield Haunting alongside David Threlfall.
Her other theatre roles include The Catherine Tate Show Live (Hammersmith Apollo, West End and International Tour); Assassins (The Menier Chocolate Factory); The Vote (Donmar Warehouse); Much Ado About Nothing (Wyndham’s Theatre); Under The Blue Sky (The Duke of York’s Theatre); Some Girls (The Gielgud); The Exonerated (Riverside Studios). For The National Theatre: Seasons Greetings, The Way Of The World and The Prince’s Play.
She also appeared in The 24 Hour Plays at both The Old Vic in the UK and on Broadway.

Rainn Wilson
Rainn Wilson is best known for playing Dwight Schrute on The Office, but did you know he got his start on the stage?
Wilson began acting at the University of Washington and after his 1986 graduation, he worked in theatre in New York City. Wilson appeared on Broadway twice in the 1990s, including in The Tempest in 1995 and London Assurance in 1997.
Melora Hardin
Melora Hardin is known for her recurring role as Jan Levinson on The Office, but she was also once seen on Broadway! In 2008, Hardin made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in the revival of Chicago. She stayed with the show for just under two months, from December 2008 to February 2009.
John Krasinski
John Krasinski is well known for playing Jim Halpert on The Office, but he also has appeared on stage The 24 Hour Plays in 2009, 2011, and 2015.

Jenna Fischer
Jenna Fischer appeared as Pam Beesly on The Office, and was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2007. She was also a producer for the show's ninth and final season.
On stage, Fischer starred in the off-Broadway play Reasons to Be Happy, written and directed by Neil LaBute, which ran from May to June 2013. She also starred in the world premiere of Steve Martin's comedy Meteor Shower at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, California in 2016.
James Spader
James Spader, best known for appearing on screen in many films and television shows, apepared as Robert California in The Office from 2011–2012.
In 2009, Spader made his Broadway debut, starring in Race, a play written and directed by David Mamet. Race opened on December 6, 2009, at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre and closed on August 21, 2010, after 297 performances.
Kate Flannery
Kate Flannery made her screen breakthrough playing Meredith Palmer on The Office, which won her two Screen Actors Guild Awards. However, she got her career start in the theater.
Flannery was a former member of The Second City's National Touring Company, and an original member of Chicago's Annoyance Theater, where she appeared in over 15 shows.
In New York, Flannery appeared in Nora Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore, as well as the 1996 off-Broadway production of Valley of the Dolls. In Los Angeles, she appeared in The Phacts of Life at the Renberg Theatre and in the Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner production of Three Feet Under at The Evidence Room.
Ellie Kemper
Most recently, Ellie Kemper, who played Erin Hannon on The Office, joined the cast of Peter Pan Goes Wrong as a special guest star in June of 2023.
Kemper first gained attention with her one-woman show, "Feeling Sad/Mad with Ellie Kemper," at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.
