The Hard Rock Cafes have a year-long "Rock the Cause" philanthropic initiative in which they focus on one cause a month and partner with a related charity. The month of March focused on Anti-Bullying and the cafes partnered with Nevada PEP, a local charity which works towards strengthening families of children with disabilities through education, empowerment and encouragement.
Both Hard Rock Cafe locations sold shoe prints to customers visiting the cafes for $1, with all proceeds going to support Nevada PEP and helping to take a step to STOP Bullying. By donating $1, guests added their names to their own "STOP Bullying" shoes, which were displayed at the cafes.
The sales of the shoe prints at both cafes combined totaled $2,425.93. "We are very excited to have surpassed our goal," said Erin Ward, Senior Sales & Marketing Manager for Hard Rock Cafes Las Vegas.
"We are so excited, and it is because the employees did an outstanding job from beginning to end," said Community Development Director of Nevada PEP, Stephanie Vrsnik. She continued by saying, "Everyone at the cafes were truly dedicated to the cause. This campaign sent such a positive message to everyone in the community."
