Donny and Marie Osmond have cancelled their show show at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino through March 23, 2010.  Marie Osmond's rep Alan Nierob tells People.com, "She needs to spend more time with her family...She's still processing everything and it's really rough on her."  It had previously been reported that Donny and Marie had added five shows between April 13 and 17 following their last stretch of show cancellations immediately following Marie's son's death at the beginning of the month.

Following the death of her son Michael Blosil, the Osmonds had suspended the Flamingo Las Vegas show and resumed performances on March 9. Additional extensions are possible, but have not yet been announced.

Marie Osmond is an American actress, singer, doll designer, and a member of the show business family, The Osmonds. She gained success as a solo country music artist in the 1970s and 1980s. Her best known song is a cover of the country pop ballad "Paper Roses." In 1976, she and Donny began hosting the TV variety show Donny & Marie. Marie Osmond starred in the Broadway musicals The King and I and The Sound of Music to much acclaim.

Donny and Marie's timeless hits (some of which topped the charts as duets, while others were performed solo), include "Paper Roses," "Make the World Go Away," "I'm Leaving It (All) Up to You," "Morning Side of the Mountain," "Puppy Love," "Soldier of Love," "Deep Purple" and others.

The "a little bit country, a little bit rock n' roll" duo took the country by storm with the debut of the "Donny & Marie" variety show in 1976, becoming the youngest primetime hosts in television history. This universally popular series solidified their worldwide fan base which still numbers in the millions.

After multiple solo successes, the pair teamed up once again in 1998, hosting the successful, nationally-syndicated daytime talk show "Donny & Marie." They recently hosted the "Miss USA" pageant.
